Her Exellency Mrs. Genevieve Tsegah Ghana's Ambassador to France has paid a maiden visit to the Ghanaian Community of Bordeaux last 26/11/2010. The Ambassador who was accompanied by her consul Mrs. Rita Hagan was responding to an invitation by Michelle Ouvrard aka Nana Akua Oforiwaa President of Batabi Oyoko Akwaaba Association B.O.A.  The city Mayor of Cenon near Bordeaux was present to welcome the Diplomats.

B.O.A. organised a ceremony to promote it works. You will recall that BOA has adopted Batabi a village in the Eastern Region of Ghana where it is doing its best to contribute to
elevate lives. Last summer it sent a team of volunteers from France to start the construction of a Kindergarten for the village. The occasion was basically an exposition on what the volunteers did in Ghana.

Ghanaians from all walks of life in Bordeaux under the leadership of their President Mr. Adjekum were present. In a speech Mr. Adjekum expressed overwhelmness over the Ambassador's presence and also thanked the Ghana Government for the level of present democracy in the country. He thanked Me Ouvrard for what her association is doing for Ghana. Mr. Kofi Ansah a Ghanaian artist in Bordeaux brought his group "Kundum" to entertain and welcome the Ambassador and the public.

Elder Quarm interacted with several Ghanaian admirers. In an interview with Gacif News, he wished to tell the whole world that Jesus Christ is the sole soul saviour and he enthreats everyone to surrender to His call.

Sunyani, Nov. 10, GNA - A 10- year national project to empower stakeholders to prevent child abuse, would be launched at Odumase in the Sunyani West District of the Brong Ahafo Region on Thursday November 11. The "Ghana Child Abuse Prevention Programme" (G-CAPP) is an initiative of the Global Media Foundation (GLOMEF), a Sunyani-based human rights media foundation.
A statement signed by Mr Michael Boateng, Communication Director of GLOMEF and made available to the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani on Tuesday said the main goal of G-CAPP is to create public awareness on child abuse.

The project would reach out to traditional rulers and opinion leaders to take a strong stand on violence against children especially the girl child by working with the media. The statement said an annual conference dubbed: "11/11 Conference on Child Abuse," would be organized for children to discuss all forms of child abuse. November has been instituted as child abuse prevention month whilst child right clubs would also be formed in schools under the project. Mr Kwadwo Nyamekye-Marfo, Regional Minister is expected to launch the project.

President John Evans Atta Mills and his Nigerian counterpart Goodluck Jonathan have resolved to pull forces together to enhance democracy within the West African sub-region. They have further resolved to share experiences to ensure that the forthcoming presidential election in Nigeria goes well.

This was the outcome of a meeting between the two leaders in Abuja on Wednesday November 10.
Currently within the sub region, some countries are going through democratic elections and Nigeria’s election comes off early 2011. Of Particular concern to the two leaders is how these processes will be peaceful and engender growth.

As the Chairman of the Regional body Ecowas, President Goodluck Jonathan conferred with President Mills to ensure that the Region remains peaceful on the path of democracy.
Basically the discussions centered on democracy, good governance and how the West African sub-region can be a shining example for the rest of the continent.
