Ghanaians have always been pioneers in everything they do wherever they are. Sarcelles a city in the Paris region is a small world in the sense that it is a melting pot for almost all countries on the planet. All civilisations and cultures are officially represented accross associations and celebrations.
In this city is one of the biggest and highly rated African restaurants "Mama Africa". It belongs to a Ghanaian. The city has two African shops belonging to a Ghanaian. Kingdom a Ghanaian church is present there.
Friday 5/11/2010 Mr. Adu Joseph(a Taxi Driver and Pastor) together with his wife Edith Adu have outdoored "PARADISE HOME OF BEAUTY" (one of the most beautiful beauty saloons in France) at Sarcelles.
By solidarity the Ghanaian community was present accross leadership delegations in support. The Director and Administrators of Centre Commercial les Flanades were also present.

Fofie Bids Mum Farewell

The Ghanaian Community in France have join Mr. Fofie and his family to perform the final funeral rites of his deceased mother. The celebration took place at La Briche near Paris on the 30/10/2010. The church of Pentecost of which Mr. Fofie is a member was "elephantly" represented. All Royals,other churhes and associations were also present. The Ghanaian Taxi Drivers corporate of France was all over the place to support colleague Fofie. GACIFNews covered it for you.

 

GACIF Invites Ernest Opoku

The giant Ghanaian gospel musician Mr. Ernest Opoku has accepted a GACIF invitation to France to promote his songs and other Ghanaian gospel songs in France. The Rt-Hon. Osei Mensah Michael President of the Ghanaian Community in France R.C. has told GACIFNews that Ernest Opoku's visit is to accustom the Ghanaian Christian Culture to our growing youth in France. He added that it is a chosen responsibility of GACIF to implant the Ghanaian Culture within our dynamic society in France. Ernest is seen above in pictures with the President and Worshiper of Italy.

 

"Les Enfants de l'Espoir", une association pour les enfants d'Half-Assini

Samedi 23 octobre avait lieu, à Rouen, l'inauguration d'une association dédiée aux enfants des rues de la petite ville d'Half-Assini, sur la côte ouest du Ghana, à 400 km de la capitale Accra. Le projet des Enfants de l'Espoir - Children of Hope - est de construire un centre d'accueil pour les enfants démunis, orphelins et/ou abandonnés. Une école sera intégrée au centre pour permettre l'alphabétisation et la sensibilisation, en ciblant aussi les jeunes filles futures mamans. Il comprendra également un pôle de santé : pharmacie, laboratoire, dispensaire.

Pour Essien Aman, Président fondateur de l'association : "La scolarisation est le futur de nos enfants. Un enfant qui sait écrire et lire détient les instruments qui lui ouvrent la porte de la connaissance. Donnons cette chance aux enfants d'Half-Assini ! "

L'inauguration était l'occasion de commencer à collecter des fonds pour lancer l'opération. Un public courageux a donc bravé la pluie battante et la pénurie d'essence pour venir soutenir cette cause généreuse ! SANKOFA était là bien sûr, ravie d'encourager une nouvelle initiative en faveur du Ghana, tout comme l'association APAE de Mary Amoako avec sa troupe magique qui, d'un pas de danse, a fait vibrer la petite salle normande aux rythmes du Ghana.
